you can't trust the BBC when it comes to editing.. they tend to slice bits and put them together. Jurgen may have said something like he would consider coming back, then a few seconds later went to explain why he wouldn't but they removed that bit, I did see the interview and the thing he said he didnt miss was the press conferences 3 times a week, that will be 6. before and after games, then there's interviews all over the place.and he doesn't miss standing out in the rain for 3 hours in training. Its a lot to give up in your life..Its the same with players. having to move to different countries for years.. away from your family its not easy. I know i couldn't do it

It needs to happen as we know he can have the majority of those players running through brick walls, in a top press and counter press and being devastatingly direct again and we desperately need that, no other manager is going to have that effectOriginally posted by ianlfc View PostAs much as we would all love him back never going to happen.
And as above, we’re very light of quality in the forward positions because of the summer’s cunt fuckery
I think Slots gone he looked to be holding back the tears but these idiots have done a fucking hatchet job on everything we were last season and the 9 before"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Trent was key under Klopp too, heck most of the players that have left was key under klopp.

Does not change the fact trent was key under klopp especially wish salah on the right, more so than he would be under slot in my opinion, wouldn't say frimpong has been amazing, and not played enough to judge really, looked alright by the looks of things today but not great at the back, which is worrying because we'll play against a lot better attackers, I don't think he's the answer to the RB issue going forward, hope i'm wrong like then we can just focus on CB area no6 and maybe even a wide attacker... who knowsOriginally posted by JockStrap View PostWirtz, Ekitike, Kerkez and Frimpong are the best players in the team right now. It's the players with the PL medals who aren't performing.Last edited by Kev0909; 17 January 2026, 11:50 PM.

Picking the ball up 30-40 yards out on the wing and crossing into the box. When was the last time our full backs did that?Originally posted by Kev0909 View Posthow can we be devastatingly direct with Usain bolt on either flank ? we're a really pacey team yeah

Like trent use to do you mean ?Originally posted by ianlfc View PostPicking the ball up 30-40 yards out on the wing and crossing into the box. When was the last time our full backs did that?
now when we cross it goes nowhere 90% of the time, think that's change of personal up front aswell as tactics, for some reason gakpo is tall but not great at heading midgets can beat him in the air /shrug
The wide players was key getting in the box, even Nunez caused some trouble from crosses and made space for others.Last edited by Kev0909; 17 January 2026, 11:56 PM.

Do one troll Slot shot himself in the foot everyone was behind him when he continued with the attacking exciting football full of all the good stuff he inherited and our 433Originally posted by JockStrap View PostNo manager at LFC is going to have a chance until the fans move on from Klopp. Might be the next manager, or the one after but while fans keep pining for Klopp whoever is in the dugout has no chance.
it’s not that he isn’t Jurgen you utter moron it’s that in football terms and playing staff his summers business in the forward line and subsequent set up and complete unnecessary change in formation and style has completely wrecked what he inherited and massively weakened us and were pedestrian and boring to watch
If he’d continued as he had last season, kept Diaz brought in Semenyo or other not blown 125m on a second No9 we didn’t need or 100m on Wirtz we didn’t need but bought a ball playing No6
Continued playing as we had last season and suffered a blip or two not one person here would have any issue, not one
But this isn’t that, he’s ripped up the blueprint to success we had for 10 years that we behind his success last season, based on a theory, a fucking pipe dream he had which wasn’t how he played when we brought him in or how he played at Feyenoord and it DOES NOT FUCKING WORK and it won’t
We don’t create enough or score enough because we have no top wide forwards, we no longer look to release the ones we do have in behind and the overplaying not being direct taking the shortest route to goal when it’s on to absolutely kills us
Slot himself has taking a hatchet to everything that had he continued with and recruited for would have had him top of the league again
He’s tried to be clever and out in place a Dutch way of playing that won’t work in once of what did he has to go for it so should Edwards & Hughes"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Funny. You mention Klopp more than you mention Slot.
It's the estrogenic fans like you that will continue to hold the club back. How long before we start hearing that the next manager isn't Klopp once he hits a tricky spell. Or the one after that.

We don’t play those balls when they are on anymore Robbo can hit diagonals and crossfire balls so can Virgil so can Konate so can Grav Szobo Macca it’s not a thing that was exclusive to TrentOriginally posted by Kev0909 View Posthow can we be devastatingly direct with Usain bolt on either flank ? we're a really pacey team yeah

The way we play without any cut and thrust sea teams low block as deep as their own area and together with too many bodies in there if our own blocks all the lines and crowds us out it’s boring predictable and laboured and easy to defend against
He sold our best wide player, best way to break low blocks, quality wide forwards runs in behind second runs to win any second balls Be direct giving it to them when they’re in the time and space and they go past a player causing another to move with
A lot of these players have played in and be fitted from doing exactly what I describe for several seasons including last season and they’re being asked to now play a way that’s the antipathy of that"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
