I know that what you're saying is right and true, but it's still stupid to me nonetheless (that that's what it'll take for FSG to get rid).

Unless the Mancs and Chelsea suffer a monumental collapse (*spoiler alert: They're not), we're not getting that 4th place for the Champion's League spot for next season and the only other way we would get in is if we win it this year.

We're not winning it this year.
    Not on this form.
    Not with this team.
    Not with this manager.

So why wait for an inevitability you know is going to happen anyway to do what everyone knows is the obvious thing you have to do?

Getting rid of him only AFTER we've failed to qualify for the Champions League and finish the season without any silverware is the quintessential texbook FSG style of closing the barn doors after the horses have bolted.

And the irony of course is that we'll lose out on a Champions League place to either or both teams that did EXACTLY that - what we should have done - and got rid of their underperforming managers and brought in new ones that turned the ship around.

The culture has gone, and Slot maybe has pissed off to many players.
Yep I say this a lot

      not good enough all round

dealing with transfers is a joke too and how we didn't sign any cover in jan, and here we have it a midfielder playing at RB and concede because of it.......

if club cared about top 5 they'd have got it sorted not risk it, so fuck em. #FSGOUT

        Oh, come on.

Don't you want your daily update on how we struggle to cope with a low block (we didn't face one today), and how we looked good in key moments,...and how he thought the game could have gone either way and we were just unlucky?

Or maybe he'll surprise us and switch it up this time and blame the fans for not cheering hard(er) in the closing moments.

I only recently started hated Arsenal more because of their twat of a manager and their dickish fans, but games like this always remind me why I hate City.

Seeing Pep (Ljinders) on that bench and Guehi in that shirt probably didn't help.

(and Semenyo too, but I was never really of the belief that we could get him (or should have))

My dislike for both of them is approaching SCUM levels.
Man City will always be top of the dickhead pile for me.

They have literally changed the sport through incredibly shady deals. We have had other adversaries that were (and are) absolute arseholes, but no club has impacted the sport as negatively as Man City have.

Their unjustified presence in the League has an impact on Champion's League qualification and relegation year-in, year-out, simply by being there - when by all accounts they should have had the book thrown at them and be playing in League Two.

Instead they can throw £50m at Haaland's Da to get him signed up, pay Mancini millions through subsidiary companies for one-hour talks to bolster his contract, sign top class goalkeepers while facing 134 (and likely rising) charges and throw £300k-per-week at centre-backs who aren't the best in the League, whilst having players on the books who'll sing on a Plane about Liverpool fan bereavements - all the while that bald dickhead creating his little ball of spit every 10 seconds whilst three years on the "Pepstein Files" don't get dealt with.

I'd rather face Fergie's lot again than tolerate this shit.

It's the first time they've beaten us at Anfield with the crowd there.

Something that never happened even during the dreadful Hodgson era.

                      It's disgraceful, really.

We are yet again having to play Szobo at RB because of the injury pile-up there,.....which automatically makes us weaker in the midfield.

And now we're losing him as well to a suspension thanks to his red card, so what are they going to do?
Oh yeah, play another midfielder there and put Endo in.
Or maybe he'll play Grav there and bring in Jones in the middle and make us even more weaker in both positions.

But sure, we don't need to bring in any new players this transfer window.

                      No "market value".

"Market Value" today so us lose this game with his frequent timely stops against Mo and the rest of our frontline - except he was wearing a City shirt.

Kenny was manager for the Anfield game (go ahead King Kenny!) whereas we lost 3-0 at their place under the Hodge.

I'd say that Hughes and Edwards play the biggest roles when it comes to both manager and player recruitment. Getting rid of Slot and some players after spending hundreds of millions of pounds isn't going to reflect well on them. With that being the case they are likely to wait untill things have become untenable before they open the trap door. Until the club's revenue start taking a big hit, Edwards and Hughes are also going nowhere.

                          • Great for half an hour second half

Then Slot went and spoiled it all by dropping off

We’ve dropped at least another 8 points from dropping off having got ourselves ahead with 10 minutes or less left in sure

                            When will he fucking learn

Most ppl learn when they get bitten once m, we’ve been bitten 4-6 times doing it this season

When we got to 2-2 v Bournemouth he went one up and stopped playing as we had been to get to 2-2 and look at that
Twice v Leeds v Fulham too I think and a couple more besides keeping the press on higher and picking up and keeping on playing is THE BEST WAY to defend a fucking lead

It’s maddening it really is to do it again

Could - perhaps should - have used Endo at right-back to get Szob's energy into midfield.

                              Not especially ideal either, granted.
