Yeah it’s never been the best I’ve watched our game twice or three time many a time when they were so entertaining with Jurgen and what they defined as a big chance varied depending who the team was"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

The biggest annoyance for me is that yet again we took the lead and sat off allowing them to play. As soon as they equalised there was only one team with the desire to go on and win that game.Originally posted by Crimson Dynasty View PostThis.
We were not a threat to them in open play.
Everyone's going to forget that little bit of factoid under the cloud of that chaotic finish.
That is an ongoing theme with this season and it 100% is on Slot. We are weak mentally and buckle under pressure especially when having something to protect.
Fuck knows how often Gravenberch has an opportunity for a shot at goal and side passes it.
The whole season is a mess of disjointed trans and indifferent performances. The first half was another sleepy start. How often?
There are too many faults with this side and our performance for it to be mostly on the players. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

Virgil said the exact opposite in his post match interview. He said that both teams were going for the win. Which I agree with.Originally posted by teesred View PostThe biggest annoyance for me is that yet again we took the lead and sat off allowing them to play. You’re quite right it is on Slot it’s only become a regular thing under himOriginally posted by teesred View PostThe biggest annoyance for me is that yet again we took the lead and sat off allowing them to play. It doesn’t make any sense sending Szobo off
They played the advantage and after that Haaland fouls Szobo you can’t then go back and say oh we can’t allow the advantage now Haaland’s made a foul after we have"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

I would disagree with your conclusions, except for salah. Him speaking out maybe him trying to get him sacked.Originally posted by CCTV View PostAll of them are way off last seasons form to a man.
Salah speaking to the press, tried to get Slot sacked.
MacA speaking to the press, tried to get Slot sacked.
VVD 1st half v PSV looked like he was trying to get Slot sacked.
These I'd suggest are fair conclusions ^^^
Konate tbf just has the brainfarts & contract up and likely off to Real/PSG.
Whatever we want to say about the summer window,
where reasonably a CB, 6 & Wide-Forward would have filled out the squad,
The players on the pitch have to take responsibility for their performances on the pitch.
We are 2 points above Everton.
39 points after 25 games. Embarrassing.
As said, if Slots sacked it certainly looks similar to Alonso at Real, player power.
VVD against psv. I'd look more at Konate.
To obsolve slot of all blame, I find that strange.
He coaches them, sets the team up, decides tactics, makes the subs. Yet, it's all down to salah, vvd and macca. They are below the standard they set, yes. But the manager needs to fix that. Drop them, like he did with salah. Yet not much changed when salah was out.
39 points after 25 games. Embarrassing is right. Who is the man overseeing all of that? He is part of the problem with all the other factors.

I look at it like this If you put Macca Grav and Szobo in a midfield 3 it’s an awesome midfield 3Originally posted by jr81 View PostI would disagree with your conclusions, except for salah. Him speaking out maybe him trying to get him sacked.

Newcastle do really well widen JoeLinton Tonali Bruno are fit and our 3 is much better than that and I think you can play Wirtz at LCM with his increasing strength and pressing and counter press he does a proper shift"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”

Slot making excuses before and after the match
All I think even though we’ve improved in some elements is of Clint Eastwood in The Good The Bad and The Ugly when soldiers are fighting over the bridge

Talking about how much we've improved the last four months that's yielded four league wins. 1 since Jan 1st and seen us drop out of the top four.
A major optimist would struggle to see us getting out of this now, we just don't look like we've got anything near what it takes. The defining moments in our lives are never planned.

That's the sort of thing I'd happily be looking at in the "if I were the Manager" spirit but I suspect the reason will be about not wanting both left-backs on the pitch simultaneously. If Robbo plays and ends up injured then we are down to one left-back on top of the other depth issues in defence - suspect that would be a component in not making that sort of selection call.Originally posted by LFC-DPG View PostI’m just curious why Slot would rather play Slobo at full back rather than Robbo. I know Robbo is in decline but I still think he can do a job on either side.Your hobbies are rollerblading and you're also a bit of a rat-hound? Steel Wool
