So did the last lot of youth..... now most of them are playing in league 1 or below or some random country

And every other club doesn't have this issue?? You can't really judge a player until they mature physically.. You can be very technically gifted at 15/16. but easily get pushed off the ball.. and out sprinted..
That was the issue at the weekend against Plymouth.. our second string struggled physically to deal with the strength of Plymouth..
given it 5 years and most of them won't. obviously with any player its hard to judge how they will turn out..same goes with signing 60 million quid footballers

Guehi isnt better than Gomez in my opinion and the problem is if we do sign him or someone else of that ilk then Gomez leaves so we effectively need to sign two CBs if we are to have five to pick from.

Unless you're like arsenal who produce top players for the first 11 qenerally top quality youth players, not like we have, and I'm not counting 20 years + but recent lot that have come through.
