  • The normal bed wetters are out in force. It's not hard to predict who will show up on the match thread when we lose.

A poor decision from Alisson cost us. It happens. Don't really want to blame him too much. We had chances to win the game. As did City.

Slot will get the sack for it.

But that capitualtion is on the players on the pitch, not Slot.

Slots shown buckets of resilience in contrast with some of our lads.

        • Remember Jones did the pressers along with Slot after the PSV loss.

Dropping off after scoring when we’d been well on top and defending comfortably pressing a side in their own half cost us AGAIN

Leeds twice Fulham twice? City Chelsea Bournemouth there’s more besides

All we needed to do was keep playing our game and not drop off and invite them to play around our box

            • This has been a recurring theme under Slots new style and more cautious approach this season

Best way to defend is keep the ball in their half and set up
To win. It back in their half

We didn't drop off. It was just a good goal from City. They are a quality side. As VvD said in his interview you can never feel comfortable against them. Top sides are going to have periods of control and create chances. If you can't deal with that then you're watching the wrong sport.

Something rotten within camp over the season, I'd suggest we can call it VVD, Konate, MacA & Salah in terms of players within the camp. Maybe Jotas death playing a part, I certainly soured on Diaz over it myself.

Alonso waiting in the wings, and largely players getting a pass as people want Slot out.

If I'm Alonso, VVD would be here next season.
Sell Salah. Sell Maca. Konate is going on a FT.
And anyone of those 4 still here next season would be spoken to about their conduct/performances this season.

I've a lot of sympathy for Slot in ways. His season at LFC seems very similar to Alonso's at Real. Let down by players.
Does slot have any responsibility for it at all?

If he was let down by anyone it was the club with the squad they left him. Totally imbalanced and missing crucial reenforcements.

Its not all on slot, just like it's not all on the players. Blame should go around for all departments.

They’re going to if you drop off 50 yards and invite them to start playing if you don’t understand that you’re watching the wrong sport Jesus wept

                      • Mistakes cost us again. Alisson tried a quick break but slipped as he was kicking it. City won the ball at the half way line and it came straight back at us and they scored from it as a few of our lads were sleeping

He also gave the pen away.

I’m just curious why Slot would rather play Slobo at full back rather than Robbo. I know Robbo is in decline but I still think he can do a job on either side.

Your view of what happened is at complete odds with Virgil's. Think I'll take his word for it and what I saw with my own eyes.

                            Yes, he has responsibility.

From what ive seen this season our 4 biggest issues are those 4 players.

2 seniors who signed up at the end of their last contracts and dropped off.
2 real linked players, one a free agent this summer the others form dropped off a cliff once he & his dad spoke about real.

What can Slot do when its 4 key players looking like they're trying to get him sacked.

As a new manager coming in, CC Alonso...

Konates probably off. I'd sell Mo & MacA. Keep VVD who'd be spoken to about this season.
This year, were like France failing in the SA WC groupstages. Bad eggs.

The players are trying to get him sacked? So your saying the players are actively trying to get him sacked.

Konate has always had a brain fart in him. Everyone knew he was in his last year, yet the club didn't sign a cb for him? What could slot do? Not play him if he felt that Konate was trying to get him sacked.

Macca? Don't play him if you think he is trying to get you sacked.

Players form dips, but to suggest after last season winning the league they are trying to get him sacked is a bit of a reach in my opinion.

Maybe it's the tactics that are making them look bad?

We created plenty of chances today. More than enough to win the game with a bit of clinical finishing. So the players are clearly not trying to get the manager the sack. A couple are in terrible form and likely permanent decline but that's a different issue.
