Palace fixture pile-up 'irresponsible' - Glasner

Manager Oliver Glasner says it would be "irresponsible" for Crystal Palace to play two games in three days following a fixture pile-up after reaching the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

The Eagles are due to host Manchester City on Sunday, 14 December, KuPS in the Conference League on Thursday, 18 December, and visit Leeds United on Sunday, 21 December.

Arsenal, their last-eight opponents in the EFL Cup, want their tie played on Tuesday, 16 December. If Palace are told to play on that date, it will mean three games in five days, four in eight, or five in 11.

"I can't believe this won't be fixed," said Eagles boss Glasner. "It would be irresponsible for the players and we have a responsibility for them and we have to look after their welfare, but not just ours at the club.

"I was really upset when I heard it for the first time yesterday. I couldn't even believe that they were considering this."

The points accumulated over 34 games was fairly competitive with the previous seasons league leaders/champions.

Seems you're holding those last 4 results against Slot.
When the rest of us were celebrating number 20 and the lads were off in ibiza midweek.

Slot has a good record with injuries prior to LFC and had few last year at LFC.

And yes on the 1st of September I was quite happy with what I'd seen from us. Given the link for a contrasting view to your doomerism.

And id argued there was plenty to of talent in the squad left to Slot. Unlike you who expected the lack of quality to really shine through after Klopp left.
Based on your premise that Klopp had a shit squad relative to Arteta and had to flog every last ounce of them. And this level of low quality squad caused him go walk early.
The squad was small very small relative to Arteta and City. As evidenced by ‘Klopp’s last season - spread too thin resulting in multiple injury. As evidenced by Slot’s interview from yesterday - which I posted, The inconvenient truth it seems - for you.

The squad - last seasons one - would have been totally stretched beyond breaking with just a few injuries key - which is pretty normal most seasons. We didn’t suffer that - one of our rivals did .. City were chumps and dropped over 20 points and it was a 15 points drop for Arsenal from the season prior….and you want to talk as though we won the title at a canter. That’s a classic case of wise after the fact.

Watch Slots video and see if his view aligns with yours.

Then look at our transfer business this summer and see if the people behind the scenes also agree with your ridiculous position.

The insults and many questions are a sign hes on the run, and unwilling to substantiate his own claim with one name/example from the many claimed.

He's wary of his teenage daughter, so you'll be grand kev, maybe get to the game with him if its not too much hassle. Get the posh London boy to arrange travel for you too

Back on topic, potters gone.. no big surprise even if it's this early in the season

West ham have been one of the most underwhelming teams, apart from the obvious of late spurs, utd yes I know they've not been up there but... when you see the money spent how many players and changes, with the stadium they have too, should've been a lot better and be going places, especially as they're a london club

We won number 20 last year. This year we are yet to go behind in a game of football and have won all our PL games to date. And you are miserable again, ArtetaFamTVeo

You predicted a maximum of 15 points from Slots opening 10 games. Such a high rating...

Meaning you had the amazing Slot dropping 15 points in 1st 10 PL games with Klopps squad.

You talked about how the lack of quality in Klopps squad would really shine through after his departure.

As we now know, you were wrong again.

Sadly when pressed on the many in this thread, you cannot provide any. Which is your usual level of substance & integrity. None.

If you want to be an angry little middle Engerlander - A poster boy for the worst that Wetherspoons can offer - Be my guest. Bit rich coming from the fella that sent me a threatening DM last time you lost it.

Good to see you have no real argument to what I have said. Oh and a nice cut up edit of my suggestion - which was simply a tongue in cheek prompt both posters to actually go to a game. Maybe spend as much time at Anfield as you do posting about the club you seem unable to actually support, This one is relatively cheap as chips. Half term holiday and there are those rare things —- tickets. Not that I ever offered any to anyone. It’s more of a plea for some actual vocal support - and potentially some vocal dialogue on the subjects we see so at odds over.

    Why not actually do it,,?

YOu are obsessed - I get it now.. Yuck

Looking back to last season, as you seem determined to do... The facts as I see them are thus:

City and Arsenal both had better and deeper squads than us. Which IMO is a travesty (especially the Arse with a manager less than 20% of Jurgen managing to catch up and overtake) and because of a lack of investment, and an over reliance on Klopp working endless miracles.

Both sides slumped the season Klopp departed - perhaps they let their guard down and like me felt Liverpool were no threat WHO KNOWS? Perhaps they should have listened to your hindsight Either way our very capable but thinner squad did superbly to win 84 points. The only time in a decade that wins a title.

So delighted with the title as I am - I am at the same time miffed that Klopp didn't get to hold the second title he so very much deserved. Moreso IMO than Slot. That's the way I see it.

Any danger of you getting down to Anfield for the week commencing 27th October? Cheap as chips relatively speaking.. Watch the team you love so much? Put a bit of your hard earned 'F$G Fan Boi' cash into the club?

    None at all.

What in the living fook are you on about timelines..? I told you that I was acutely concerned we would massively slump BEFORE we found a manager. This is the feeling I had for anything post Klopp.

This includes ANY manager. At the time I hadn't even heard of Arne Slot.

On your other BS subject - the bet around points for the opening 10 games...the 15 points... I was indeed expecting a very slow start from Slot and the players. Starting a season without Jurgen scared me immensely. THAT ok woth you?
Please try to explain WHERE you think you've found a discrepancy. And in general what it is that is wrong with you? Are you obsessed with me CCTV? Because you are doing a very good impression of someone who is.

    You seem disturbed..
