Justin, your Ex may have come from Seville or Cordoba or anywhere in the dustbowl oven of inland southern Spain and preferred the damp cool of Ireland but the number of folks from Northern Europe who relocate to Southern Spain - mainly the costas - is order of magnitude more. Using it as an example to try and say black is white is silly..

Reading hasn't become a forgotten art has it? I gave specifics for why a player situated in London would be more likely to remain in London over Madrid.. vs a player from Liverpool,

Yep, my ex is from Andalusia (South Spain) and she always said when peeps asked why she choose cold damp Ireland to live. That 7 months a year it's an absolute hell down there. Us Northern Europeans go on a week or two's holiday and can return home.
There, it's difficult to do anything in that heat, especially sleep...

That's another subject, suppose that's why Europe will always be kings- football wise because of climates of the Continents, it's not perfect but a lot better suited than the others, year-round.

He needs to be a super success on the pitch - like Paisley was, and even then - players won't have that bond with him that they had with Jurgen. We have seen many already show a lack of loyalty.

    Get used to it.
Who has shown a lack of loyalty to Slot based on his insufficient bonding ?

From what I can tell, Trents mind was made up already in summer 2024.
So, if we're talking disloyal with Trent it would be to the club, and to Klopp over Slot.

Similarly with Pep joining Pep at cituae. Disloyalty would be to the club and Klopp.

Why are a lot of the top players in shitty england then ?

Why is it the best league in the world?

If spain is all that and a big factor?

Didn't think PSG / france was the best either tbh- but look at them, another top club, playing in a farmers league but still top players do, obviously paris has it's problems but it's good but france on a whole, not sure.... ?

    Hmm

something to do with money, by all accounts, real and PSG, hence man city getting world class players in shitty manchester too...pretty sure these clubs have offered bigger wages- and bonuses than us of late, apart from a few players, like salah who's generally worth it most of the time anyway.

City top it here https://www.capology.com/uk/premier-league/payrolls/ not sure how accurate that is, but makes sense.

I'm sure there's many nice areas players can play in spain, not just madrid.... but it's about the club.... then it's about the money....... then possibly location next.

Every player is different, some don't care about the club but how much they're paying for example (Hello man utd) have had some of these players.

But in general i'd have thought
    Club
    Money
    Location

Not to mention italy has so many nice places and a glorious country and some massive historic clubs! but won't go into that, don't really see many top players there these days unless prem rejects or over the hill... they simply don't have the money english clubs have, and Real madrid PSG...... tell you what we should be doing though looking at the youth system at barcelona, it works, but maybe they just have better younger cultred fitter players, in many ways that's a joke but kinda true LOL english pigs yea

it all comes down to money, location is a minor factor.

Also.. you make a point about heathrow.... fair point.... but cmon these mother fuckers can get private planes from anywhere, they're on stupid money.
Look - it's not a cut and dry thing.. For some players what you are saying is perfectly true, but for many I think London and Madrid will always Trump Liverpool Unless there is something off the scale going on.. Like under Jurgen. I saw rival fans saying they loved him.

I am not often found defending the owners but I do feel they are at a disadvantage trying to keep players that are wanted by Real or Barcelona over a club like Arsenal located as they are in the capital. Just less reason for a player to want to up sticks and move.

Is manchester better place to live then?

Doesn't stop city, in the past Utd... Ronaldo etc.......

Thinking way to deep into it imo, honestly your on over 100k a week do you give a shit ?

Can live in london rest of there life, in a million pound house if that's what they wnat- If I was salah or Saka or whoever I wouldn't want to live in a very busy area, can't be nice you'll get hounded wherever you go- doesn't matter where you are london, barcelona...... is that fun ?, wherever they are, they can't exactly enjoy the city and chill out like me and you.

Only gated communites/private areas, or VIP

Yes london might be one of the big city's in the world, you really think they can just walk around? same with the beaches of barcelona etc
